“If a day begins with a child’s smile, you end up in a carnival of joys.”
Something similar happened on 4th March 2012. A group of MCA students and a teacher went to spreads colours of happiness in lives of few kids of “ orphanage , NOIDA-”. The pure intensions of ASCS group were warmly welcomed by the orphanage staff and little kids. Their small eyes were filled with sparkles of excitement on our arrival. LOADS OF PRESENTS AND SURPRISES MADE THEM FEEL CELEBRATING A CHRISTMAS WITHOUT A SNOWFALL.
The ASCS team organised a painting competition for those little artist and soon ground of the orphanage was filled up with shades of their extraordinary creation.
“Truly wonderful the mind of a child is”
The winners were amazed to see mesmerising gifts (sketch pens, markers, fascinating pencil boxes, crayons, etc.).
Their joys seemed to have no bounds when ASCS team members distributed chocolates, fruit packs, registers, biscuits, chips, smiley badges, erasers, and loads of more exciting presents.
“Children and fun go hand in hand.”
To add up to the perfect overwhelmed atmosphere, A Rock band performance by “GET TOGETHER” group was arranged which included band members along with great little singers from blind school.
The performance was so melodious that it left the little kids with tunes of heart to hymn around.
The whole day’s programme was sponsored by the contribution that ASCS students and teachers made in lee of “HUMAN VALUES QUARTER 2012”
“Nothing you do for a child is ever wasted.”
It was an immense pleasure for the ASCS team members to spend quality time with these wonderful kids. When asked abt their experiences, they proudlu quoted: “Spending such a wonderful day made us realise that these little kids have so much high potentials that we grown up people must learn the art of persistence and creativity from them.”
SO Truly it is said that:
“Children make you want to start life over.”
